Week Four, Project 1

The task was to apply a "Threshold" adjustment to a photo. I chose a photo I shot somewhere in Southern Georgia.
Added Threshold.
Multiplied x 4, rotated to center.
Then multiplied that by 4
Then I decided to zero in on the structure. In real life, it is a very cool building made out of seashells.

Multiplied and turned, it is interesting. Notice the pattern that was created in the center.
I extracted the center pattern, made two strips and flipped one 90 degrees to create a cross.
Then added the sun from the radial letter project and came up with two designs.
Back to the original picture, here is one with a gradient.
This one is with a gradient and a burn. It gives a bit of an ominous feel to a mysterious and powerful landscape.

  1. I love the way you combined the sun and threshold work to produce a new and original result... That is the spirit of creative discovery... nicely done!
